Dr. Simon supervises student clinicians in the Department of Naturopathic Medicine at Bastyr Center for Natural Health. He also supervises the community care site at Ballard Northwest Senior Activity Center.
The body needs resources to heal and prevent future health problems. Dr. Simon uses diet, nutrition, herbs, biofeedback, counseling, physical medicine techniques, osseous manipulations, activator technique, kinesio taping, orthotics, craniosacral therapy, massage, and functional exercises to help the body maintain a fit and healthy condition. Clinical interests include family medicine, cardiovascular health, diabetes, digestive disorders, allergies and immune health, musculoskeletal conditions, weight loss, stress management, chronic fatigue & pain, and especially any combination of the above.
Dr. Simon believes in finding the best approach to support his patient’s health goals and this begins with listening whole-heartedly to their concerns and motivations. The ultimate goal is to help patients tackle complex health conditions with small simple changes. Together, we will build health-awareness so the patient can begin to apply tools learned in a visit, that over time will help them succeed in making lasting changes to their health. As a primary care physician, Dr. Simon uses modern research with safe and effective therapies to get to the root of the problem, while working collaboratively with other health care providers.
Dr. Simon completed a residency at Bastyr Center in 2014.
