In an effort to better serve you, Bastyr Center for Natural Health has introduced the secure online portal MyChart for patients who would like to make appointments and interact with their clinicians from a computer or mobile device.

“We are very excited to offer our patients a secure electronic system for communicating with their clinical team,” says Chief Medical Officer Jamey Wallace, ND. “MyChart offers a variety of services that will help improve care and benefit patients.”

Those services include:

  • Request prescription refills
  • Communicate securely with your care team
  • Request, cancel and view upcoming appointments
  • View the results of your LabCorp and in-office lab work
  • Download visit and health summary information to take with you to other providers
  • View after-visit summaries
  • See a graph of your blood pressure or other readings over time
  • Review your billing account and recent payment information

How Secure is MyChart?

MyChart is a free opt-in service that strives to ensure your health information is kept private and secure.

“Securing patient information is a top priority for all of us,” Dr. Wallace says. “That is one reason why patients can choose to opt in to using MyChart, part of our OCHIN Epic electronic health record software.”

Access to information is controlled through secure access codes, personal IDs and passwords. You are the only person who controls your password, and your account cannot be accessed without that password.

MyChart uses the latest 128-bit SSL encryption technology with no caching to automatically encrypt your session with MyChart. Unlike conventional e-mail, all MyChart messaging is done while you are securely logged on to the OCHIN MyChart website. After 15 minutes of inactivity, you are automatically logged off of the site.

“Patients who opt in to MyChart will be using one of the most secure systems in health care,” Dr. Wallace says.

How to Sign Up
